Courage and Passion.
I make an entreating call to courage,
Make haste and supplant this rising rage,
Come on dear,
We must not run as fast as the deer,
Summon every courage you can find by grace,
Choking fear without leaving a single trace,
Fear of making the right choice,
Fear which robs the right voice,
Fear which fuels a rabid love for job,
Fear which leaves you with a secret sob,
Fear that commitment would rob career,
Even though pain from lack of commitment is very severe,
Give your passion wings,
Let the love bell ring,
Give your reason the reins,
Let the queen of love reign,
Together let's let courage,
Take us through every stage,
Let us not fear the future,
Let us mold the future,
It might be rough,
It might be tough,
But we only reach it when we try,
Daring still even when we cry,
That is how we cover ground,
Learning as we go around,
Mocking threatening torment,
Relishing the moment,
Shaking off fear's fetter,
Becoming very better,
Becoming pace setters,
Propelled by all our falters.

This is amazing! It is so easy for us to wither with fear instead of bloom with courage. I hate that I do this to myself sometimes. I love the rhyming of this poem. It is very effectively used throughout, yet the poem's meaningful content is not compromised as result of it. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grande soeur... I like the 'wither with fear in stead of bloom with courage' line :) :)
